About me

As a writing coach, I help people find practical strategies to improve their writing. This can be through tailored writing workshops, one-on-one coaching or content creation.

Clients I have helped include medical and health professionals, manufacturing companies and small businesses.

Workplace trainer

I have worked for over a decade in retail, arts administration and the not-for profit sector. I’ve also been a corporate trainer since 1995. My business interests are in communication, critical and creative thinking and presentation skills.

I have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and am a member of the Australian Society for Technical Communication.

As an author, I write for adults as well as children, and have been shortlisted for a number of fiction and non-fiction awards, including the Victorian Community History Awards. My work has been on The Age best-sellers list and my most recent title, Zelda’s Big Adventure – a book about a chook who wants to be an astronaut – was a ‘Notable’ picture book in the CBCA Awards. To see it read by the wonderful Leigh Sales on Playschool click here.

I teach writing across a range of genres, review children’s books and co-run a manuscript assessment service, Bedlam Books.

My current work in progress is a humorous, feminist, crime space opera.
