‘Lay’ or ‘Lie’ Cheat Sheet

Please don’t ask me to ‘Lay’ on the treatment table!

I’ve spent a lot of time lately in medical professionals’ rooms (don’t ask!) and found this is a common mistake many practitioners make.

Bookmark this cheat sheet to help you remember that your patient should LIE on the treatment table.

Of course, English is a tricky beast, so there are times when it’s okay to use ‘lay’ to mean ‘was reclining.’
